Unless you are an ecommerce business, your companies website is used primarily as a marketing tool. Ninety percent of our customers need only marketing, so we get very excited to apply our broader capabilities to build a marketing, sales and membership website. Visit our newest creation, the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society — recently rebranded History Fort Lauderdale.
Web Membership Function
Like many not-for-profit organizations, this museum was doing many things manually including managing membership enrollment and renewal monitoring. Now, when visitors to our website see the value of the museum and want to support it with their membership the opportunity is right there with the “Become A Member” button. The system will send a renewal reminder one month and two weeks before their renewal anniversary. What a savings in human resources as well as possible lost revenue if renewals fall through the cracks.
Donations are critical because the only funding for History Fort Lauderdale is provided by members and by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners. Our “Donate” button is powered by software that adds revenue generating capability and the convenience for website visitors inspired to contribute.
Generating income is critical for the survival of this museum. One source of revenue for History Fort Lauderdale is their beautiful venues for meetings, entertaining and weddings. Another source of income is sales of their historical photography collection featured in the “Store” on the website. Of course, this is where our shopping cart comes into play.
Visitors can choose from four sizes and two different frames. If they want a larger size or more elaborate frame, they are guided through that process.
With photos in eight categories, visitors are sure to find something beautiful to fit any room or lifestyle. Our sliders (revolving header images at the top of pages) show the photos displayed in homes, restaurants, and businesses. We’re especially proud of that marketing feature.
As always, concept, design, and construction are uniquely original and developed in collaboration with our client. Our Website design is a reflection of our client’s taste and the character of their business. Although the body copy was written by the museum staff, the promotional tag lines in the sliders are our marketing concepts.
We believe what sets us apart from other Website design firms is our rich history of marketing along with 23 years of website design and search engine optimization. Because we were marketers first, blog marketing and social media marketing are also part of our services.
